Line Cook

●      Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

●      Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

○      Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

○      Answer, report and follow kitchen manager’s/head chef’s instructions

○      Clean up stations as part of a daily scheduled routine

○      Stock inventory appropriately

○      Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

○      Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

○      Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

○      Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Certification Skill and Abilities:

○      Must have at least 1 year of experience working in a full-service restaurant.

Physical Demands

○      Must be able to walk and/or stand and sit for long periods throughout the  day

○      Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel

○      Must be able to reach and twist occasionally

○      Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects occasionally

○      Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds occasionally

○      Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions

○      Must have good hand-eye coordination

 Working Environment

Office, restaurant and off-site venues for catering and events. May have loud music or noise and warm and cold conditions. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays.
